Super Saturday for Riversdale connections

6 December 2014

Race 2 at Sandown saw the Mick Price trained Northroza (Northern Meteor / Zeroza) salute the judges in the Steve Wilby Transport – 1400m. Born at Riversdale and reared by breeder Tim & the late Di Dennis, she was sent back to Riversdale to prepare for the 2013 Inglis Australian Easter Sale under the Southern Cross Breeders banner. The filly was not popular at the sale only realising $55,000 which was $5,000 more than Mick Price wanted to pay. I think he’s changed his mind now as she’s looking like a very promising filly with a bright future. 3 starts for 2 wins and a 2nd

Race 3 at Rosehill saw Off The Rails (Snitzel / It’s You) just win in an exciting 3 way finish. Prepared for the 2012 MM Gold Coast Yearling Sale by Riversdale for Southern Cross Breeders, the colt was purchased by Topline Thoroughbreds making $125,000. This was his 5th win bringing his prize money up to over $200,000

Race 2 at Wagga, a 1200m Maiden was won by homebred Tiger Eyes (Choisir / Leonina) She was withdrawn from sale due to x-ray issues and was given plenty of time to overcome a further tendon tear so it was with much joy seeing her win by 10.5 lens. The lightly raced 4 yo mare is owned and bred by Catherine Remond with her dam being on permanent agistment at Riversdale. She has now had 6 starts for 1 win, 2 - 2nds & 2 - 3rds. Leonina has a smashing filly by Smart Missile which will be sold at Inglis Easter 2 Yearling sale next year.
